The Walt Whitman Archive is the place to go for anyone who is interested in learning about Whitman and his works. According to the site, “The Walt Whitman Archive endeavors to make Whitman’s vast work freely and conveniently accessible to scholars, students, and general readers.” Ed Folsom and Ken Price have succeeded in their goal, as this site includes a treasure trove of content on Whitman, made easily accessible through an easy to navigate , well organized, and visually attractive site. The left column of The Walt Whitman Archive’s main page has linked main columns with the headings “Published Works,” “In Whitman’s Hand,” “Life and Letters,” “Commentary,” “Pictures and Sounds,” “Resources,” and “About the Archive.” By exploring the columns and their subcolumns, viewers may see texts, images, and manuscripts, and hear audio recordings of individuals reading Whitman’s pieces.
